Carotid Artery Remodeling After Modified Eversion Carotid Endarterectomy

Modified eversion carotid endarterectomy (meCEA) is an alternative to classical patch angioplasty or eversion. An meCEA involves everting the plaque through a longitudinal incision over common artery without transecting internal (ICA). Those who advocate cite propensity of luminal narrowing from procedure restenosis as reason avoid primary repair. We seek objectively quantify outcome after repair employed in this technique. retrospectively reviewed all meCEAs performed at our institution and included those with preoperative postoperative computerized tomography angiography.
